Water

Gardens in the south of France are both intensely hot and occasionally exposed to extremely heavy rainfall. The soil is quite often poor, which means that it has difficulty absorbing and holding water over time.

By working on the composition of the soil and increasing the proportion of humus/organic matter, we increase its ability to retain moisture and nutrients. In addition, we make micro-organisms in the soil thrive and these help trees and plants to build up resistance to both water shortages and insect infestations.
